SATKHIRA, Aug 27: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Sunday in the district gave cash assistance to three families of those who are killed and injured in the anti-discrimination student movement.
Satkhira 33 BGB Battalion Commander Lt Col Md Ashraful Haque provided the cash assistance.
According to BGB, Asif Hasan, son of Mahmud Alam of Askarpur Village of Debhata area in Satkhira, was killed in Dhaka during the movement. Besides, Md Aman Ullah, son of Amjad Ali Sardar of Pratapnagar Village of Asashani, and Zillur Rahman, son of Abdul Khalek Sardar of Pancharkhi Village in Sadar Upazila were injured during the agitation in Satkhira.
Benefitted family members of the deceased and injured thanked the commander. At the same time, they demanded justice by bringing the culprits under the law.
Coordinators of student movement of Satkhira District, leaders of various local political organizations and journalists of print and electronic media were present at that time.
