BGB seizes drugs in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, Aug 28:  A total of 252 bottles of Indian phensedyl, 51 bottles of liquor, and two local sharp weapons (Da) were seized by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) from Taluigacha border in Kalaroa Upazila of the district on Sunday at 1:15pm. 

Members of Satkhira 33 BGB battalion conducted a raid in the border area and seized these drugs.
Smugglers attacked the BGB with local weapons while BGB members fired five bullets. But smugglers left the shipment of drugs and fled to the dense forest in the border of India.

 Yet, BGB said, number of casualties in the incident is not known.
 
The BGB 33 Battalion Director and Commander Ashraful Haque (PBGM, PSC, G) confirmed the matter.
