One killed in Ctg road crash

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 28: A retired Navy officer was killed after being run over a bus in Patenga Katgarh area of Chattogram city on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Nurul Absar, 52, son of Chagir Ahmed a resident of Patenga Steelmill area in Chattogram city.
Eyewitnesses said that the pedestrian was hit by a bus from behind while he was walking on the side of the road. He died on the spot.

Patenga Police Station OC Md Mahfuzur Rahman said that the body was recovered and sent to Chattogram Medical College (CMCH) Hospital morgue. 

He also said the bus has been impounded. The bus driver fled. Attempts are being made to arrest him.
