Miscreants shot and killed two Awami League activists in Kuiyash Burischar area under Hathazari Police Station in Chattogram district.
The incident occurred on Thursday night in front of Nahar Garden in the Kuiyash Burischar Sheikh Mohammad City Corporation College area.

The deaceased were Md Anis, 38, of PAshchim Kuiyash area, and Masud Kaiser, 32, of Paschim Koyash (Billa Bari) area under Shikarpur Union in Hathazari.
They were followers of AL leader Yunus Gani Chowdhury, former chairman of Hathazari Upazila Parishad, UNB reported.
According to eyewitnesses and police, Anis and Kaiser were walking along the Oxygen-Kuiyash road. When they reached Nahar Community Centre area, two assailants on motorcycles randomly fired shots at them. Both fell on ground after being shot. The assailants quickly fled the scene.
Chattogram Acting Superintendent of Police Wasim Firoz told the media that the two were seriously injured in the shooting on the Oxygen-Kuiyash road. Anis died on the spot, and Kaiser was declared dead by the doctors after being taken to hospital.
Primary information suggested that the incident occurred due to prior enmity, he said.
