Sundarbans reopens Sunday after 3-month

The Sundarbans are set to reopen for foresters and tourists from Sunday (September 1) after a three-month closure.

Nazmul Azam David, general secretary of Tour Operators Association of Sundarbans (Toas), said after three months closure, the ban on entering the Sundarbans will be lifted on Sunday. We have taken all kinds of preparations for tourists.

Howladar Azad Kabir, the in-charge of Karamjal Wildlife and Breeding Centre said, that the restriction was issued from June 1 to August 31 to protect the wildlife of the Sundarbans during breeding season of animals and fishes.
