Looted arms, ammo recovered in Satkhira, two held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered firearms and ammunition, which were looted from Satkhira police station on August 5, and detained two persons in this connection.

The detainees were --Farhad Hossain, 27, son of Abdul Majid Gazi of Sultanpur area and Mehedi Hasan, 21, son of Sheikh Shakhawat Hossain.

ASP Faisal Tanvir, commander of Satkhira RAB camp, said acting on a tip-off, they conducted a drive and found a foreign pistol, two one-shooter guns, 23 rounds of bullets concealed in a kitchen of Farhad Hossain's residence in Sultanpur area of the town on Saturday afternoon.

Later, they detained two people in connection with this incident. He said that legal action will be taken against them.
