Gopalganj bus-truck collision leaves 5 dead

Five people including a woman were killed in a collision between a bus and a truck in Gopalganj's Kashiani upazila on Sunday morning.

At least 20 people were also injured in the accident that happened at about 7:45AM at Majhighati area, said Bhatiapara Fire Service assistant officer Md Rezaul Mowla.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
A Dhaka-bound bus belonging to 'Emad Paribahan' collided head-on with a truck from opposite direction, Rezaul Mowla added.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals.

Four of the deceased were identified as Samad Ali, 40, Tania Afroz, Sakibur Rahman , 35, and Rohiz Sheikh, 24. All of them were passengers of the bus.
