SNOWTEX Group donates Tk 81 lakh to assist flood victims

'SNOWTEX' Group, Bangladesh's leading garment company along with their sister concern, country's top fashion brand, 'SaRa Lifestyle', 'DHEU' and 22,000 family members of the 'SNOWTEX' group has donated Tk 81 lakh to assist flood victims. 

All members of 'SNOWTEX' family voluntarily contributed 27 lakh Taka and the remaining 54 lacs Taka was provided by 'SNOWTEX' Group, says a press release. Out of the total donation, Tk 50 lakh was deposited into the Chief Advisor's Relief and Welfare Fund on Wednesday (28 August), and the remaining Tk 31 lakh was distributed among the flood-affected members of the 'SNOWTEX' family. 
This initiative was taken by the 'SNOWTEX' Group to support the affected people in various districts across the country. 

'SNOWTEX' began its journey in 2000 as a buying house. At present 'SNOWTEX' is an organisation of four big factories. In the meantime, as a 'Green Factory' SNOWTEX Outerwear has achieved USGBC's lead platinum certificate. 

Besides The President's Award for Industrial Development 2021, Green Factory Award, 'Health and Safety' Award under the Ministry of Labor and Employment.

The company has also received National Tax Card and Best Taxpayer Award-2022, National Export Trophy 2020-21, Bangladesh Business Award-2019, National Export Trophy 2019-20, National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2021, Factory Award-2020, SDG Award, Best Practice Award-2018, Occupational Health and Safety Best Practice Award-2017.
