Tk 42 lakh distributed to 83 patients at Nawabganj

Medical assistance worth about Tk 41.50 lakh were distributed among 83 patients of cancer and other complicated diseases in Nawabganj Upazila of Dinajpur from the fund of Social Services office.

Upazila Social Service Officer Shubhra Prakash Chakraborty handed over the cheques to patients at a function held in Upazila Parishad hallroom.

The programme was organized by the upazila administration with Nawabganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Anwar Hossain in the chair.

Upazila Social Services Officer Shubhra Prakash Chakraborty said that cheques for a total of Tk 41 lakh 50 thousand were given to 83 patients of nine unions of the upazila at the initiative of the Social Services office.

A total of 83 patients suffering from Cancer, Kidney, Liver Cirrhosis, Stroke, Paralysis, Congenital Heart Disease and Thalassemia were provided with medical assistance of an amount of Tk 50,000 each.
