Former Awami League MP Haji Mohammad Salim was placed on five-day remand on Monday in Khalid Hasan Saifullah murder case of the capital's Lalbagh area on July 18 during quota reform protests.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Akteruzzaman passed the order.
Another Dhaka court sent former commerce minister Tipu Munshi to jail after a four-day remand in a case filed over the killing of Suman Sikdar in the city's Badda during quota reform protests on July 19.
On Monday, the same court placed Awami League's publicity and publications secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap on a three-day fresh remand in a case filed over the murder of garment worker Rubel during the mass protest.

Haji Salim, whose name was mentioned in the FIR of the murder case, was arrested from the Bangshal area on Sunday night.
