Demo held demanding resignation of Election Commission

An organisation named 'Nagorik Samaj' on Wednesday staged demonstration in front of the Election Commission Bhaba at Agargaon in the capital demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal led Election Commission (EC).

At the same time, the organisation demanded necessary reforms of the EC.
During the demonstration, the demonstrators put a banner there demanding the reforms of the EC.

They also made a five-point proposal for reforming the EC and establishing the voting rights of people.

The demands include (i) Awal Commission's resignation (ii) Trial of AKM Nurul Huda Commission of 2018 (iii) Trial of Kazi Rakib Commission of 2014 (iv) Removal of the flatterer officials appointed during the previous regime, and (v) Promoting skilled, competent and honest officials.
