Youth jailed for life for raping child in Natore

District Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Muhammad Abdur Rahim passed the verdict on Wednesday. The court also fined him Tk 50,000.

The convict was Dulal Hossain, 31, a resident of Chaipara village of the upazila.

According to the prosecution story, on July 2 in 2011, the convict brought the child at his house and raped her.

Following the incident, the victim's grandfather filed a case with Bagatipra Police Station. Later, police submit the charge sheet against the lone accused on July 16.
