All readymade garments (RMG) factories across the country will resume operation from Thursday (September 5) after getting assurance of required security measures by law enforcement agencies

Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), told this to newsmen after a meeting with factory owners, top officials from law enforcement agencies, including army, police and industrial police and different detective branches on Wednesday (September 4).
He said some 167 garments factories in Ashulia, Savar and Gazipur announced closure amid the workers unrest, mostly instigated by outsiders.
