Robbers loot shop in Narayanganj

Robbers looted various products worth around TK 20 lakh from a shop at Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj district on Wednesday night. 

The incident occurred at a shop named 'Jahidul Furniture and Electric' at Kanson Bazar under the upazila. 

Rasidul Islam, the shop owner, said that the shop's employees  went to home after locking the shop around 10:00 PM. At some point during the night, robbers broke the lock and entered the shop. They took away 26 of smart televisions, some electric fans, rice cookers, and various other items worth TK 20 lakh. 

The police have been sent to the spot after receiving information, said Zubair Hossain, officer-in-charge of Rupganj Police Station. 

Efforts are ongoing to recover the stolen items and arrest the culprits.
