DSE ends mixed, CSE edges down

Indices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended mixed while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) edged down on Thursday amid volatile trading.

The benchmark index of the DSE closed the day with 10.42 points down at 5,728.65. But, the Shariah DSES and the blue-chip DS30 closed the day with 0.95 point up at 1,228.80 and with 1.11 point up at 2,114.36.

Out of 395 issues traded, 250 closed lower, 98 advanced and 47 issues remained unchanged on the DSE floor.

BSS adds: The major gaining issues was LINDEBD, NRBBANK, RELIANCE1, OLYMPIC and RUPALIBANK. The major losing companies were RUPALILIFE, 1STPRIMFMF, LANKABAFIN, CRYSTALINS and MEGHNAPET. 

The CSE closed the day of the week with slightly downward trend with its major CASPI 59.51 points down at 16,378.76.

At CSE, 205 issues were traded. Of those, 54 closed higher and 126 closed lower when 28.64 lakh shares worth Taka 7.86 crore changed hands.
