Girl dies of snake bite in Lalmonirhat

A girl died after being bitten by a venomous snake in Lalmonirhat's Patgram on Thursday.

The dead was Bandita Rani Roy, 8, daughter of Balen Chandra Roy, of Mohammadpur village under Jagatber union of the upazila. She was a fifth grader at Paterganga Primary School.
According to the school teachers, Bandita Rani Roy was preparing to go to her school in the morning. At that time, while taking out a bottle of oil from a broken wooden showcase kept in their house, a venomous snake came out and bit her leg around 8:30 am. 

Later, her family members rescued but she died on the way to hospital.
