Woman 'commits suicide' in Munshiganj

A 48-year-old woman reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling in her room at Sirajdikhan upazila in Munshiganj district on Friday morning. 

The deceased was identified as Gita Rani, wife of late Montu Chandra Day, a resident of R Mohol village under Malkhangor union in the upazila. 
It was learnt that Gita Rani hanging herself with a ceiling of her room around 9:00 AM. 

Md Moktar Hossain, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Sirajdikhan Police Station, said that Gita Rani was a mentally disable woman. 

The body has been handed over to the deceased's family members as there was no allegation, the OC added.
