Woman ‘kills self’ in Munshiganj

 
MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 6: A woman reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room in Sirajdikhan Upazila of the district on Friday morning. 

The deceased was identified as Gita Rani, 48, wife of late Montu Chandra Day, a resident of R Mohol Village under Malkhangor Union in the upazila.
 It was known that Gita Rani was a mentally disable woman. 

However, Gita Rani hanged herself from the ceiling of her room in the house at around 9 am. 

Being informed, police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceased's family members without an autopsy as there was no allegation lodged from them.

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Sirajdikhan Police Station Md Moktar Hossain confirmed the incident.
