KAPTAI, RANGAMATI, Sept 6: A six-year-old child was allegedly violated by her neighbour in Kaptai Upazila of the district recently.
The incident occurred in Ward No. 5 Kargo Down Side area under Kaptai Sadar Union.
The accused rapist is Manik, 28, a resident of the area.
It was known that Manik took the girl to his house and violated her forcefully as the house was vacant.
Later on, the victim was recovered and taken to Kaptai Upazila Health Complex, from where she was referred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
The victim's mother claimed that the rapist threatened her for not to file a case in the incident.
Officer-in-Charge of Kaptai Police Station Abul Kalam confirmed the matter, adding that legal action would be taken after investigation.
