AIB opens 224th branch at Chandpur

Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) PLC has opened its 224th branch at Chandpur on Thursday, says a press release. Managing Director and CEO of the bank Farman R. Chowdhury inaugurated the new branch as chief guest. 

Bank's Additional Managing Director Shabbir Ahmed and Deputy Managing Director Md Aminul Islam Bhuiyan addressed the ceremony. Deputy Managing Director Syed Masudul Bari, Muhammed Nadim, Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Md. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Md Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan and other Senior officials were present at the event.

Senior Vice President of Chandpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries Subhash Chandra Roy, Manager of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC. Chandpur Branch Md Nuruzzaman, Lecturer of Hajiganj Aliya Madrasa A N M Nurur Rahman, Prominent Businessman Shah Md. Jahangir and Hajiganj Branch Manager of the bank Kazi Md. Elias also spoke at the branch opening. 

Bank's Sylhet Zonal Head and Senior Executive Vice President Abdur Rahim Duary presided over the ceremony. Senior Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah conducted the ceremony. A large number of local people and well-wishers were present in the inauguration ceremony. Chandpur branch Manager Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan thanked the audience.

Managing Director and CEO of the bank Farman R Chowdhury said socio-economic development of the country is possible along with halal business management through Islamic banking system. The country's Islamic banking system has already succeeded in proving that. Later he explained various statistics of the bank and assured best services for its clients.
