Two motorcyclists killed in Cumilla road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed after a covered van hit their vehicle in Yasin Market area of Cumilla Export Processing Zone(EPZ) of Sadar upazila on Sunday night.

The victims were Hasan Miah, 24, son of Majnu Miah, a resident of Narunda area of Tangail district and Masum Hossain, 29, son of Humayun Hossain, hailed from Banishanta area in Khulna district. 


Kabir Hossain, in-charge of EPZ Police Outpost, said that both of the deceased were the workers of Cumilla EPZ. The accident occurred when they were returning home after completing their duties around 9PM on a bike and a van knocked them from behind, leaving both of them died on the spot.
 
He said they recovered the bodies from the spot and sent those to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
