Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party Monday felicitated the newly formed Jatiya Nagorik Committee and expressed hope that the forum would work sincerely to forge national unity, safeguarding the country’s interests and ensuring civic rights.

“We applaud the new civic platform named ‘Jatiya Nagorik Committee’ announced at the Central Shaheed Minar on Sunday (September 8) as a positive political initiative of the new generation,” AB Party Convener AFM Solaiman Chowdhury and Member Secretary Mujibur Rahman Manju said in a joint statement here, reports BSS.
They said most of the members of the Nagorik Committee including its Convener Muhammad Nasiruddin Patwari and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossen have played a pivotal role in the anti-fascist movement against the past Awami League (AL) government for long.

“We hope this youth leadership would play a strong role in achieving the goals for which the Nagorik Committee was formed. They will work sincerely to forge national unity, protect the interests of Bangladesh and establish civic rights,” the AB Party leaders said.

They extended their sincere felicitations to all the members of the Jatiya Nagorik Committee.

A 55-member new platform Jatiya Nagorik Committee was announced on Sunday aimed at rebuilding Bangladesh upholding the spirit of student-people mass upsurge steered by Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
