Three electrocuted in Pirojpur, Munshiganj, Noakhali

Three young men were electrocuted in separate incidents in three districts - Pirojpur, Munshiganj and Noakhali, recently.

PIROJPUR: A young man was electrocuted in Mathbaria Upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Hasan Mia, 30, son of Jashim Mia, a resident of Halta Village under Halta Gulishakhali Union in the upazila.

It was known that Hasan Mia came in contact with live electricity in the area at noon, which left him critically injured. 

Later on, injured Hasan was rescued and taken to Mathbaria Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared the youth dead.
MUNSHIGANJ: A youth was electrocuted in Sirajdikhan Upazila of the district on Friday morning. 

The incident took place in Lotabdi Village under Latabdi Union of the upazila at around 10 am. 

The deceased was identified as Md Roman Dauan, 28, son of Sentu Dauan, a resident of the area.

It was known that Roman came in contact with an electric live wire while he was cleaning water from rooftop of a local mosque in the morning, which left him dead on the spot. 

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Sirajdikhan Police Station Md Moktar Hossain confirmed the incident.

NOAKHALI: A young man was electrocuted in the district district town on Monday night. 

The deceased was identified as Md Azizur Rahman Tuhin, 27, son of Md Mohsin, a resident of Muslim Colony under Noakhali Municipality. He was an electrician by profession. 

Local sources said Tuhin was repairing an electric line which was damaged due to the flood in front of BM Traders at Ward No. 5 in the town at night. 

At one stage, he came in contact with live electricity, which left him critically injured.

Injured Tuhin was then rescued and taken to 250-bed Noakhali Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty declared him dead.
