Lawyer killed in Madaripur by miscreants

A lawyer has been reportedly hacked and beaten to death by miscreants in Madaripur's Sadar upazila. 

The deceased was identified as joynal Abedin, a resident of Sapatoli village under Mostafapur union in the upazila. He was a lawyer of Madaripur district court. 

He died on Monday night at Faridpur Medical College and Hospital while undergoing treatment. 

Earlier, on Saturday ( September 7), miscreants hacked and beat him mercilessly, leaving him critically injured. 

Later, locals rescued him and took him to Faridpur Medical College and hospital. Since then, he had been taking treatment in the hospital. 

AHM Salah Uddin, officer-in-charge of Madaripur Sadar Police Station, confirmed the death news. 

The reason behind the murder would not be known immediately, the OC added.
