UCB town hall meeting reiterates commitment to clients

Country's leading private bank United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) organized a virtual town hall meeting on Monday. Held with the slogan 'United in Integrity, Growing Sustainably', all level employees and executives of the bank including all the branch managers and heads of different departments of UCB PLC & subsidiaries participated in this town hall meeting arranged virtually through Zoom. 

UCB PLC Chairman Sharif Zahir was present as the chief guest at the meeting. The board members of the bank were present in the meeting presided over by Syed Faridul Islam, Acting Managing Director and CEO of the bank, says a press release.

Sharif Zahir said in his speech: "UCB is consistently working to uphold the interests of the shareholders, customers and above all for expediting social development. I request the management and all the staff to continue working with confidence and integrity. I believe that if we all work together with integrity and sincerity, we can make UCB PLC not only financially strong, but also a model of excellence in the banking sector."

Calling upon everyone to work responsibly following the principles of honesty, devotion and commitment to customers, he added that UCB will be driven by a new vision defined by transparency, accountability and growth in the coming days. Our goal is to restore UCB at the top position in the banking sector, reflecting on our strong governance and ethical practices and our commitment to the stakeholders.
During the question-answer session, he pledged to make UCB an employee-friendly and business-friendly bank.
