A case has been filed against 98 leaders and activist of Awami League, including Faridpur-4 constituency lawmaker Mujibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury and Bhanga Police Station OC Mamun, under Speedy Trial Act.
Around 200-300 unnamed armed persons have also been made accused in the case.
Bhanga upazila Swechchhasebak Dal president Md Saidur Rahman Sikder Mithu lodged the case with Faridpur Speedy Trial Tribunal on Wednesday (September 11) noon.
Bhanga Police Station confirmed the matter on Friday.
Nixon Chowdhury was accused in another case filed earlier in Bhanga.
According to the case statement, some unnamed accused in the case threw cocktails, brick chips, hand-made bombs on the students on August 3 in Bhanga Bishwaroad Gol Chattar area during the Quota Reform Movement as per the direction of Nixon Chowdhury, Bhanga Police Station OC Mamun, former Faridpur zila parishad chairman Md Shahdat Hossain and other named accused.
At that time, several students and passersby were injured.
Some motorcycles were also vandalised there.
