BIWTA suspends water vessels on 3 coastal routes

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has suspended operations of all types of river vessels on Hatiya, Betua and Khepupara routes from Dhaka.

The authorities took the decision of suspension for the safety of the passengers.

Due to strong rolling in the river and cautionary signal No 3 has been advised for the maritime ports, the water transport services have been kept suspended.
