Hasina, 58 others sued in attempt to murder case in Dinajpur

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, former whip Iqbalur Rahim and 57 others were sued on charge of attempting to kill a student during the anti-discrimination student movement on August 4 in Dinajpur.

ABM Siddiq of victim Fahim Faisal of Rajbati area under Sadar upazila filed the case with Kotwali police station on Friday, said Officer-in-charge of the police station Farid Hossain.

 Other accused in the case include – Dinajpur Sadar Upazila Awami League president and upazila chairman Imdad Sarkar, general secretary  No.4 Sheikhpur union parishad chairman Mominul Islam, 55 others were named in the case and several others were unnamed, said the OC.

According to the case statement, Faisal sustained bullet injuries in a clash in front of Sadar General Hospital in Munshipara area on August 4 during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
 
Later, he was rescued and taken to the Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.
