CHATTOGRAM, Sept 14: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a youth with arms and ammunition from KBS convention hall of Ranirhat Bazar under Rangunia upazila of the district Friday night.
The arrested was Tauhidul Islam Mamun, 34, son of Md. Ayub Ali hailed from Bagabil area under Rangunia upazila.
Being informed, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the area and nabbed Mamun around 11.40 pm, said Md Sharif-ul-Alam, senior assistant director (Mass Media) of RAB-7.
The RAB members also seized a LG gun and two bullets from his possession, he added.
Later, the arrested person and the seized goods were handed over to the Rangunia Thana Police.
A case was filed with the concerned police station in this connection. —BSS
