Weather likely to improve from Monday

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that the incessant drizzling that started in Dhaka on Friday may decrease from Monday.

The highest 223MM rainfall was recorded in Khepupara of Patuakhali in the past 24 hours till 6AM on Sunday while Dhaka city experienced 16 mm rainfall for six hours till 12PM.

It forecast that the rains will decrease from Monday

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Mymensingh divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country, the weather bulletin that valid in 24 hours commencing at 9AM on Sunday.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said .

Maritime ports of Bangladesh have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no. three (R) three.

Meanwhile, the land deep depression over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining area persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and weaken gradually. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, center of the Land Deep Depression to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.

As the monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay, all the divisions across the country are experiencing the incessant light to heavy rain that started from Thursday night.
