DMP files 292 cases, fines Tk 11.58 lakh over traffic rules violations

The traffic division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in drives against traffic rule violators filed 292 cases, imposed fine of Tk 11.58 lakh on Tuesday.

Faruque Hossain, deputy commissioner (media) of DMP, said this in a media release on Wednesday.

The released said that 39 vehicles were dumped and 15 others were towed.

Some 4, 000 traffic personnel have been working at 339 points in Dhaka to maintain discipline in traffic movement, it said.
