Bridges Div Secy Manjur made OSD, Dr Samina to chair BCSIR

Bridges Division Senior Secretary Md Manjur Hossain, also executive director of Bangladesh Bridges Authority (BBA), has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Public Administration Ministry. 

The Public Administration Ministry on Wednesday issued a notification in this regard. However, no one has yet been assigned as secretary to Bridges Division under the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry.

Besides, the PA Ministry on Wednesday reshuffled the offices of some other officials issuing separate notifications. 

Chief Scientific Officer Dr Samina Ahmed, also Director (additional charge) of the Institute of Glass and Ceramic Research and Testing under the Bangladesh Council of Science and Industries Research (BCSIR) has been appointed at Chairman of the BCSIR for next three years from the date of her joining.

Besides, Public Administration Ministry's Joint Secretary KM Ali Azam, who was assaulted by some deprived deputy secretaries at his office for failing to get assignment as deputy commissioner (DC) recently, has been assigned as Additional Divisional Commissioner of the Sylhet Division.

OSD Additional Secretary Md Fakhrul Islam has been appointed Wakf Administrator at Office of Bangladesh Wakf Administrator while Wakf Administrator Md Golam Kabir, also an additional secretary, has been assigned as Additional Director General of Department of Primary Education.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry's Additional Secretary Ashraf Ali Faruq has been transferred to Science and Technology Ministry as its additional secretary.
