BD, ADB discuss ongoing projects, economic strategy

A delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) comprising its Senior Adviser Edimon Ginting and newly appointed country director Hoe Yun Jeong met Adviser to the interim government on the Ministry of Planning Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud at his office in the capital on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the ADB delegation apprised the Planning Adviser about their ongoing funded projects and the pipelined projects while both the Adviser and the delegation agreed to minimize rational project cost and timeframe.
The Planning Adviser informed the ADB delegation that the government has already formed a task force to re-devise the economic strategies and realizing necessary resources for attaining development goals, said a Planning Ministry press release.

In this regard, the ADB delegation assured to provide all necessary cooperation. ADB deputy country director Jiangbo Ning and country economist Chandan  Sapkota were present among others.
