New VC of Rabindra University at Shahjadpur

SHAHZADPUR, SIRAJGANJ, Sept 19: A law department teacher of Dhaka University (DU) Professor Dr SM Hasan Talukder has been appointed vice-chancellor (VC) of Rabindra University in Shahjadpur Upazila of the district.

Professor Dr SM Hasan Talukder has got the appointment as the new VC following the approval of the president and the chancellor.

The information was confirmed in a press release signed by Deputy Secretary Md Shahinur Rahman.

Former VC of Rabindra University Prof Dr Shah Azam resigned as it was demanded by students of the university on charge of irregularities and corruption.

After one month of the previous VC's resignation, the new VC has been appointed.
