Salman, Anis remanded again

Salman F Rahman, adviser of private industry affairs to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Anisul Huq, former law minister were placed on fresh five-day remand by a Dhaka court on Thursday in a case filed under Foreign Exchange Regulation Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Arifur Rahman passed the order after Investigation Officer Md Rashidul Hasan, Sub Inspector of Kotwali Police Station, produced them before it seeking a seven-day remand for interrogation.

On the other hand, Farhad Hossain, minister for former public administration, Safi Muddaser Khan Jyoti, son of former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Asaduzzaman Mia, former commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) were sent to jail after several days in remand in three cases on Thursday.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ragib Noor passed the order to send former minister Farhad Hossain to jail, Dhaka's Judicial Magistrate Mostafijur Rahman passed the order to send former home minister Kamal's son  Jyoti to jail and Metropolitan Magistrate Md Arifur Rahman passed the order to send former DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia to jail as police produced them before the Dhaka courts after several days remand in the three cases.

Salman F Rahman and Anisul Huq were produced before the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Md Arifur Rahman court after a seven-day remand and police sought  a seven-day remand in a case filed under Foreign Exchange Regulation Act. Before that, they were shown arrested in the case after the IO submitted a prayer in this regard.
