Two drug peddlers were arrested along with 11,875 pieces of Yaba tablets from Bijoynagar upazila in
Brahmanbaria district on Thursday morning.
A patrol team of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-25 arrested them from Mukundapur Kamalmora area under Paharpur union in the upazila.
The arrested men are Md Rakib Hossain, 25, a resident of Kamalmora village in the upazila and Antar, a resident of Gonashampur village under Bishnupur union in the upazila.
Sarail Battalion BGB-25 Commander Lt. Col. Farah Mohammad Imtiaz confirmed the matter through a press release on Thursday afternoon.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB conducted a raid in the area and arrested the duo along with the drugs, said the press release.
The arrested people have been handed over to the Bijoynagar Police Station, it added.
