BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said on Friday, "There is no alternative to ensuring the safety of people without restoring the rule of law in the country."

Speaking with Hindu community leaders during a Janmashtami greetings exchange ceremony at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan, he stated, "S.K. Sinha suffered injustice even as the Chief Justice of the country because there was no rule of law under the Awami League's rule. During this dictatorship, the courts and the Ayna Ghar (hall of mirrors) in the country became almost the same."

Tarique Rahman added, "Most incidents of attacks on minorities were not motivated by religious reasons. If investigated, it will be found that many of these attacks were carried out to achieve dishonest political gains."

He continued, "In today's world, the distinction between minority and majority is not the main issue. The most important thing is whether justice and the rule of law prevail. We will all be safe if there is rule of law in the state and society."

Tarique Rahman further stated, "I believe that every citizen's right to vote is an effective and powerful weapon to protect their rights. Until the day when every citizen of the country, regardless of party, religion, or caste, can vote for their candidate without fear or hesitation, no citizen's safety or rights will be secure."

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir presided over the event, which was also attended by party standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, AZM Zahid Hossain, Vice Chairman Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Barkat Ullah, and many others.
