2 friends killed in Faridpur road accident

Two friends were killed in a road accident at Nagarkanda upazila in Faridpur district on Thursday morning.

The accident took place at around 9:00am at Kandi area on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in the upazila. 

The deceased were identified as Titas Sheikh, 18, son of Rabiul Sheikh, hailed from Narail district; and Utsa Mollah, 17, son of Sabu Mollah, from the same district. 

Police said that the two friends were returning to Narail riding on a motorcycle after visiting Kuakata Sea Beach. When they arriveed in the area, the driver lost control over the steering and fell onto the road, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to the deceased's families after completing autopsy, said MA Noman, sub-inspector of Bhanga Highway Police Station.
