Md. Maniruzzaman Molla has been elected as the new Chairman of the BOT of Eastern University.
The Board meeting was held on 21st September 2024. He is one of the successful business entrepreneurs, philanthropist, and has been contributing to economic development, employment opportunities and expansion in the education sector.
Md. Maniruzzaman Molla plays a significant role as a director of Union Label & Accessories Limited, Union Electronics Industries Limited, Glossy Design and Trust Islami Life Insurance Limited. He is the current Vice President of the Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA). He is the founder of some educational institutions, Hafizia Madrasah, Orphanage and Lillah boarding, Mosque and other social institutions.
As the new Chairman, Mr. Md. Maniruzzaman Molla will contribute significantly for the overall development of the university with his vast experiences in various fields. The members of the Eastern University Foundation and the Board of Trustees warmly congratulated Mr. Md. Maniruzzaman Molla and expressed their full support to the new Chairman. Mr. Md. Maniruzzaman Molla also thanked all BOT members and sought their full cooperations.
The Board also thanked Mr. Mohammed Ali Azzam, outgoing Chairman for his special efforts and contribution during his tenure in the university. Under the leadership of the new Chairman, it is expected that Eastern University will be able to ensure its quality education, research, and other creative activities.
