Traffic rules violation

734 cases filed, Tk 31 lakh fine imposed

A total of 734 cases were filed and Tk 31 lakh in fine was imposed after conducting drives against traffic rule violators on Saturday.

Jahangir Kabir, assistant commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said this in a media release on Sunday.

He said that of the fined money, the traffic police realised Tk 3, 34, 500 in cash.

Besides, 64 vehicles were dumped and 35 others were towed during the drives conducted in Dhaka Metropolitan area.
