Man fined for sand lifting

SIRAJGANJ, Sept 22: A mobile court here on Thursday fined a man Tk one lakh for illegally lifting sand from the Jamuna River in Chauhali Upazila of the district.   
 
A mobile court led by Chauhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Showkat Mehedi conducted a drive in Bhutar area and fined Md Maznu Tk one lakh for lifting sand illegally.  
In default of the payment, Maznu will have to suffer 15 days' imprisonment for violating the law.
