Girl 'kills self' in Noakhali

A teenage girl reportedly committed suicide in Noakhali town on Monday.

The dead was Mrittika Paul, 13, daughter of Usha Ranjan Paul, a resident of Ward no 5 under Noakhali municipality. She was a sixth grader at Noakhali Govt Girl High School.
Locals said the girl's father, seeing her busy with mobile phone, asked her to leave the phone and concentrate on her studies. Then she hung herself from the window grill of her room at night.

Later, on information, police recovered the body and handed it over to the family.

Sudharam Police Station Sub-Inspector Ohid Murad confirmed it.
