Illegal shops on MCC footpaths demolished

MYMENSINGH, Sept 24: A mobile court of the Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) demolished illegal shops from footpaths in Charpara crossing area on Sunday noon.

MCC Regional Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate SM Mazharul Islam conducted the mobile court. Some 30 shops illegally occupying the pavement were demolished. 

The court also fined Tk 10,000 on charge of unhygienic environment in two hotels at Charpara. A total of Tk 1,000 was fined to two motorcycle owners for occupying road and parking unconsciously.

Sanitary Inspector Javed Iqbal, members of law-enforcement and others were present during the operation.
