Man held over violating teenager in Moulvibazar

Police have arrested a man on charge of raping a teenager at Kulaura Upazila in Moulvibazar District. 

The accused was shown arrested in a case filed by the victim and then sent him to jail on Monday afternoon.

The arrested is Jamshed Mia, 38, a resident of Lalpur Village under Tilagaon Union of the upazila.

According to the case statement, Jamshed has been raping the girl for a long time after induced her to enter into physical relationship establishing an affair and on the promise of marriage. On Sunday night, when Jamshed went to the victim's house in East Tattiuli Village of Karmadha Union with the intention of raping, locals apprehended him and informed the police.
 
On information, police arrested the accused and sent him to jail following a court order, confirmed Officer-in-Charge of Kulaura Police Station Md Golam Apsar.
