Youth killed in Panchagarh lightning

A young man was killed in a lightning strike in Panchagarh's Atwari on Tuesday night.

The dead was Pakhin Chandra Burman, 27, a resident of Aloakhoar Jhakua village under the upazila.
Locals said Pakhin went to cut grass in a field for cows and goats in the afternoon. On the way home with the grass in the evening, a lightning struck on him, leaving him injured. He was rescued and taken to Atwari Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Atwari Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Musa Mia confirmed it.
