A bus ploughed into a roadside house, killing pedestarian at Kuthiboira Bazar on the Tangail-Tarakandi Highway in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail district on Wednesday morning.

A bus ploughed into a roadside house, killing pedestarian at Kuthiboira Bazar on the Tangail-Tarakandi Highway in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail district on Wednesday morning.


A man was killed and 10 others were injured after a bus hit a pedestrian and entered a roadside house at Kuthiboira Bazar on the Tangail-Tarakandi Highway in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was Abdul Halim, 55, hailed from Kuthiboira village of the upazila.

Rezaul Karim, Officer-in-Charge of Bhuapur Police Station, said that the accident occurred when a bus hit a pedestrian and entered a roadside house as its driver lost control over the steering around 8AM in the area, leaving the pedestrian dead on the spot and 10 bus passengers injured.

The injured were sent to a local hospital.
