Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) arrested two Juba League activists with arms and ammunitions from Mongla Port municipality area in Bagerhat on Tuesday night.

The arrestees were Saddam Hossain and Firoz Ahmed, both are the son of  former councilor of Mongla Port municipality Habibur Rahman.

Lt Md Siamul Haque, media officer of Coast Guard headquarters, said that being informed, a coast guard team, raided in the house of Habibur Rahman and arrested his two sons. They also recovered two illegal foreign-made arms, huge ammunitions and Tk 1 lakh cash from their possession.

Later, the arrested were handed over to the Mongla Port Police Station.
