Husband-wife electrocuted in Gaibandha

A man and his wife died after being electrocuted in Gaibandha's Sadullapur upazila on Thursday.

The accident took place around 11:45 am in Khola Mandal market area under ​​Rasulpur Union.
The dead were Bidhan Chandra, 28, and his wife Kamali Rani, 26, residents of that area.

Locals said Bidhan came in contact with an electric wire while charging his battery-powered auto-van at his home in the morning. Realizing the matter, his wife Kamli went to save him. She was also electrocuted. They lost their lives before their relatives could rescue them.

Sadullapur Police Station Sub Inspector (SI) Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the news.
