Hefazat to hold protest rally in Dhaka Monday

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh will hold rally in the capital on Monday afternoon protesting the derogatory remarks made against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and demanding immediate arrest of those responsible.

A press release, signed by Maulana Afsar Mahmood, the office secretary of Hefazat's Dhaka Metropolitan Committee, informed this on Thursday evening.

It said Dhaka Metropolitan unit Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh will organise the protest rally in front of the northern gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 3PM on Monday.

Sheikh Sajidur Rahman, general secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, will present at the event as chief guest.

The released said Hefazat will hold the rally protesting the recent comment on Prophet (PBUH) by a Hindu priest in India.
