Agri Adviser visits BADC head office

Agriculture Adviser of the Interim Government Lieutenant General (retd) M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury have visited Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) head office in the city on Thursday, says a press release. 

Ministry of Agriculture, Additional Secretary Dr. Nurun Nahar Chowdhury,  BADC Chairman Abdullah Sazzad are also present there.
In a view exchange meeting with BADC officials, advisor said, that the farmers keep the country alive. But farmers are not proper assessed. The three basic inputs of agriculture are seed, fertilizer and irrigation are provided by BADC. 

Farmers need to be supported all the time. Care must be taken to ensure that there is no problem with potato seeds. Financial regulations must be followed.

Referring to the anti-discrimination movement of the students, the agricultural adviser said that there was a movement against all kinds of discrimination including bribery, extortion, corruption, price increase.

Our country will not improve if we do not get rid of bribery and corruption. We must purify ourselves first. We have to serve the people whose tax money we use.

After the exchange of views, the Agricultural Adviser visited various departments of BADC and gave valuable suggestions.
